Getting to the conference venue

From the MP Airport (Marignane)

The nearest airport is Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) in Marignane, approximately 25 km southwest of Aix-en-Provence.

From the airport, Cartreize operates bus #40 to Aix-en-Provence.  The bus departs every 30 minutes from platform 1, located in between Halls 1 and 3-4; see the map and the timetable for bus #40 or the pdf file. The bus costs 8.60 Euros for a one-way ticket (13.80 Euros for a return ticket), which can be purchased on board the bus or at the ticket office at the airport, and usually takes between 30 and 40 minutes to travel between the airport and the final stop, which is the central bus terminal on the Avenue de l'Europe in Aix-en-Provence.

Continue on foot onto Avenue de l'Europe (Gare Routière).
At the roundabout (Place Jean Michel Jarret), continue onto Rue des Allumettes - 200m
Turn left onto Avenue Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - 50m
The Conservatoire Darius Milhaud is on your left.

 

From the Aix-en-Provence TGV station

Aix-en-Provence is served by 2 train stations.  Some short-distance trains stop at Aix-en-Provence central station, on Avenue Maurice Blondel in downtown Aix.  However, most long-distance trains stop at Aix-en-Provence TGV station, which is actually 15 km southwest of Aix-en-Provence, along the D9 autoroute between Aix and the airport.

Aix-en-Provence TGV station is served by the Cartreize bus #40 described above; the bus departs every 15 minutes, costs 4.30 Euros for a one-way ticket (6.90 Euros for a return ticket), and usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes to travel to the central bus terminal in Aix.

From the Marseille Saint-Charles Station

From the central Saint-Charles bus and train station in Marseille, take Cartreize bus #50; see the timetable for bus #50.  The bus costs 6 Euros for a one-way ticket (10 Euros for a return ticket), which can be purchased on board the bus, and usually takes between 30 and 50 minutes to travel to the central bus terminal in Aix.

Continue on foot onto Avenue de l'Europe (Gare Routière).
At the roundabout (Place Jean Michel Jarret), continue onto Rue des Allumettes - 200m
